Affiliate Program Terms

The AlterLab Affiliate Program ("Program") allows approved participants ("Affiliates") to earn commissions by referring new customers to AlterLab ("we," "us," or "our"), a product of RapierCraft Inc.

By applying to or participating in the Program, you agree to these Affiliate Program Terms ("Terms"). These Terms supplement and are in addition to the AlterLab Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

To be eligible for the Program, you must:

• Have an active AlterLab account in good standing.
• Maintain an active platform (website, blog, YouTube channel, social media presence, or developer community) with content relevant to web scraping, data extraction, automation, or developer tools.
• Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to advertising, endorsement, and referral marketing in your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to accept or reject any application at our sole discretion without providing a reason.

Approved Affiliates earn a 30% recurring commission on all qualifying purchases made by referred customers. Key details:

• Commissions are calculated on the net amount of each purchase (excluding taxes, refunds, and chargebacks).
• Recurring commissions continue for the lifetime of the referred customer, as long as both your affiliate account and the customer's account remain active.
• Commissions are earned at the time of a qualifying purchase, but are held in a "pending" state for 30 days to account for potential refunds or chargebacks.
• We reserve the right to adjust commission rates with 30 days' written notice. Any rate changes apply only to future referrals, not existing ones.

Commission payouts are processed on the following terms:

• Payout schedule: Monthly, within the first 15 business days of the following month.
• Minimum payout: $50 USD. If your balance is below $50, it rolls over to the next month.
• Payment methods: PayPal or Wise (TransferWise). You are responsible for providing accurate payment information.
• Currency: All commissions are calculated and paid in USD.
• Taxes: You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes owed on affiliate income in your jurisdiction. We may request tax documentation (such as a W-9 or W-8BEN) before processing payments.

Referrals are tracked using cookies with a 90-day attribution window. This means:

• When a user clicks your referral link, a cookie is placed in their browser for 90 days.
• If that user creates an account and makes a qualifying purchase within 90 days, you receive credit for the referral.
• If the user clears cookies, uses a different browser, or the cookie expires, the referral attribution may be lost.
• In the event of overlapping referral claims (multiple affiliates), credit goes to the last affiliate whose link was clicked before the user's account creation.

We encourage creative and honest promotion. When promoting AlterLab:

• Clearly disclose your affiliate relationship in compliance with FTC guidelines (or equivalent regulations in your jurisdiction). Use language such as "This post contains affiliate links" or "I may earn a commission if you sign up through my link."
• Provide honest and accurate information about AlterLab's features, pricing, and capabilities.
• Do not make claims about AlterLab that are not supported by our official documentation or marketing materials.
• Present AlterLab as a data infrastructure tool. Avoid framing that could be interpreted as encouraging illegal activity.

The following promotion methods are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination from the Program and forfeiture of unpaid commissions:

• Paid search brand bidding: Bidding on "AlterLab," "Alter Lab," or similar brand terms in search engine advertising (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.).
• Spam: Unsolicited emails, messages, or comments containing referral links.
• Cookie stuffing: Placing affiliate cookies without the user's knowledge or genuine click.
• Trademark misuse: Registering domain names, social media handles, or app store entries that include "AlterLab" or confusingly similar variations.
• Misleading claims: Making false, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated claims about AlterLab, including guarantees about success rates, earnings, or capabilities not supported by our documentation.
• Incentivized signups: Offering cash, credits, or other incentives to users solely for signing up through your referral link.
• Coupon/deal sites: Posting referral links on coupon aggregator or "deal" websites without prior written approval.

Self-referrals are strictly prohibited. You may not:

• Use your own referral link to create additional AlterLab accounts.
• Refer accounts owned by you, your immediate family members, or your business entities.
• Make purchases through your own referral link to earn commissions.

Any commissions earned through self-referral will be reversed, and your affiliate account may be suspended or terminated.

AlterLab grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our name, logo, and approved marketing materials solely for the purpose of promoting AlterLab as part of the Program. You may not:

• Modify AlterLab logos or brand assets without written approval.
• Use AlterLab branding in a way that implies partnership, endorsement, or sponsorship beyond the affiliate relationship.
• Create derivative works based on AlterLab intellectual property.

Either party may terminate this affiliate relationship at any time:

• You may opt out at any time by contacting us. Pending commissions above the $50 minimum threshold will be paid in the next payout cycle.
• We may terminate your participation immediately for Terms violations (prohibited methods, self-referrals, fraud), or with 30 days' notice for any other reason.
• Upon termination for cause (fraud, Terms violation), unpaid commissions are forfeited.
• Upon termination without cause, we will pay any pending commissions that have cleared the 30-day holding period.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms, commission rates, payment terms, or any aspect of the Program at any time. Significant changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice via email to the address associated with your AlterLab account.

Continued participation in the Program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may terminate your participation as described in Section 10.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlterLab's total liability to you under the Program shall not exceed the total commissions paid to you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. AlterLab shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your participation in the Program.

We do not guarantee any level of referral traffic, signups, or commission earnings. Affiliate income depends on your own marketing efforts and audience engagement.

Any non-public information shared with you as part of the Program (such as upcoming features, promotional offers, or commission structures not yet publicly announced) is confidential. You agree not to disclose such information to third parties without our written consent.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the AlterLab Terms of Service. Any disputes arising from or relating to the Program shall be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions in the Terms of Service.
